Hello oDeskers,

We’re excited to announce that oDesk is a recipient of Red Herring 100 Spring, an award given to the top 100 private technology companies based in North America. This honor was once received by Google, eBay and Skype, and we’re thrilled to have been recognized with the same award.

As a result, Gary Swart, our CEO, is speaking at the Red Herring Spring conference. Be sure to see him if you’re there.

    This site sucks. It brings the value of what programmer’s do down. Why pay a fair amount when you can outsource and pay under market rates.

    The true cost of outsourcing will never be known. What odesk does not tell you is that it takes hour and hours and hours of your time trying to explain what you want to people who have no desire to get it to you faster than the slowest programmer. Odesk has no adequate project management tools and no effective project managers. I have to say if you want to use odesk goahead but they are not very good at helping you get the job done cheaply.

    I have been with oDesk for two years, and I get paid well, and I don’t have to battle 1-2 hours of traffic (one way!) every day.

    Let me tell you, working remotely from home with oDesk is totally worth it. My work is challenging, and my clients are great!

    To the previous negative comments - I’m guessing you have not actually worked with oDesk.

    Hi,
    i am working with odesk since 2005. i found it very very well. my earning is increased day by day. there is one problem now, that there online support is not looking now. there is only one way to send email which is little slow. But in 2006 , there was good online support like on yahoo. over all its good site , favor in provider.
